At approximately 5 a.m., first responders were called to a two-story home on Duvall Street near West Deer Park, where they were met by flames showing through the roof of the residence with smoke billowing through the area.
A team of around 50 firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly, though there was enough damage that seven adults, an infant, and dog were all displaced.
First responders believe that the fire began in the garage, which was cluttered, and was determined to be electrical in nature.
It caused an estimated $100,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.
The incident led to road closures in the area on Wednesday morning while crews battled the blaze and investigated the fire.
